Samantha, lovingly known as Sam and Sammo, was born and raised in Essex, Vermont. Her passions included anything outdoors. Skiing, hiking trails, or just hanging out in her hammock drawing, listening to music, or reading.
In May of 2019, Sam was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia. She underwent countless rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, two complete stem cell transplants, and many long stays in a hospital room. Despite all of this she continued her studies in Environmental Engineering at Northeastern University and she continued creating art.
Sam passed away from her disease on August 24, 2022, at the age of 22 years old.
Art and music were Sam’s release from the many difficulties she experienced in her short life. She was interested in exploring all mediums for her art, but had a particular passion for fine line drawing and decorating any bottles she could find. Her plant ladies became the subject of many friends wanting tattoos designed by Sam.
Sam’s family thanks you for helping keep her memory and legacy alive through sharing and appreciating her artwork. #sammystrong
